What is vintage?
A vintage item is described as something that is between 20 - 100 years old. Any item that is over 100 years old is considered antique. We source jewellery that is not only aesthetically beautiful, but is of the highest quality, this ensures that your piece of history will not only last this lifetime but will stand the test of time. We hope that the piece you choose will become a family heirloom for generations to come.
Why choose vintage?
Not only are you choosing to wear a piece of irreplaceable history, but without knowing it you are also making an ethical and sustainable choice. No new metals were created or new diamonds were mined from our earth for your ring. Vintage could also be described as 'slow fashion' as it was created in a bygone era where a piece of beautiful jewellery was something to treasure and revel in. The jeweller that made your ring was a master craftsman, steeped in tradition and time honoured techniques, they created your ring in rich gold or platinum and hand faceted your antique diamond. Your diamond will be 100% natural, free from fillers and enhancement. Your ring was created in a time long ago, before mass production and cookie cutter rings were a thing that you could just buy at any chain jewellery store. It is unique - just like you. We hope that you choose a ring that speaks to you, one that you have a connection with.
Do you have a bricks and mortar store that I can visit?
At this stage we only sell online. This has benefits for you as it allows us to keep our prices fair for our clients because we don't need to worry about store overheads. It also allows us to be completely flexible with our work hours too, so we can respond to clients all over the world within a few hours instead of having to wait until a shop opens!
As we are online, we endeavour to photograph the photos in natural light with as many angles as possible, you can always request more photos and we post videos on our instagram page of every ring that we have. The only surprises we want you to have is an exquisite sparkly one!
Why choose a platinum ring?
Platinum was used in engagement rings after the first world war mainly during the decadent Art Deco era of the 1920's - 1930's. You will notice that a lot of the rings that we offer are platinum, this is because platinum is the superior choice if you are looking for a heirloom ring. Platinum is one of the hardest metals known to man, it is extremely durable and beautiful. Platinum will never tarnish or need rhodium plating, it will hold is lustre for a lifetime.
Do you offer resizing prior to shipping?
Yes, we do offer resizing. Our resizing is completed by a master jeweller who specialises in antique jewellery, so your ring is in good hands. Please note that as the rings are vintage, they may not be able to be resized multiple sizes up or down, please contact us to discuss if you are wanting a particular ring resized and we can advise if this can be completed or not, we will also advise the cost of a resize prior to any work commencing.
How do I make a return?
In the unlikely event that you aren't 100% happy with your purchase and wish to return your piece of jewellery, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving it.
